One of the most eagerly anticipated Christmas events, the Adare Live Crib, will be staged on Sunday, December 17th, from 2pm to 5pm, featuring 12 babies and some live animals.
The location of the Live Crib this year is the Parish Hall, and as well as the principal actors there will be carol singers and local school and adult choirs. Admission will be free, with any donations going to various charities to alleviate child hardship. Last year’s donations went to the Niall Mellon Fund, Trócaire, and Medicins Sans Frontieres.
The organisers of this, the 21st annual Adare Live Crib, are looking forward to welcoming all families, friends and neighbours, to participate in this unique Christmas event – an oasis of peace in the midst of the frenzy of Christmas preparations! A festive atmosphere will prevail, complete with mulled wine and refreshments gener-ously provided by local hostelries. Go along and enjoy a real Christmas celebration.
