Forty new houses are on the cards for Doneraile after news that conditional planning permission has been granted for the construction of a residential development in the town. The housing plan for Turnpike Cross, Skehardgannon, allows for 22 four-bed semi-detached houses, four three-bed semi-detached houses, 10 two-bed semi-detached houses and four four-bed detached houses. The application also seeks the partial demolition of an agricultural building on the site, a new vehicular site entrance from the R522 and pedestrian entrance, plus a new public footpath with lighting. It is also planned to build a children’s playground in the estate.
