Planning for the €6.6 million development of Nazareth House, Mallow, can go ahead after an appeal against it was withdrawn, it has been announced. The Sisters of Nazareth, who have been providing residential care for older people since the early 20th century at Nazareth House near Dromahane, are fundraising to construct new buildings and continue their work in the community, and have welcomed the news that the work can proceed.
Deputy Seán Sherlock also welcomed the announcement, saying: “This will allow much-needed investment to take place at Nazareth House to ensure that there is a solid future for a much-loved local facility.”
