Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan officially opened Formula Management Systems (FMS) facility at the former Engine Innovate building in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick. The Company has invested in excess of €3 million in their new facility which produces the highest quality Dairy ingredients for the animal feed industry. These ingredients are destined for both domestic and European customers.
FMS has made significant investment in the Rathkeale facility in order to ensure that we produce only the highest quality ingredients for inclusion into animal feed products. 100% of all used packaging (bags, tins, lids, etc) goes for recycling ensuring our impact on the environment is minimised. Indeed, there are plans to harvest Green Energy at the plant in order to further reduce our ‘Carbon Footprint’. From its foundation in 2007 and expansion into manufacturing in 2017 FMS has worked closely with the Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries to ensure that we produce ingredients to the highest standards with full traceability.
Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan said, ‘This is a great day for FMS as it opens its new facility in Rathkeale. Today’s event is a testament to the vision of Liam Liddy and all the team at FMS and the significant investment by the company, supported by Enterprise Ireland, is a vote of confidence in the Limerick region. Creating jobs and supporting investment across the regions is a key part of Government economic policy and last year 68% of jobs in companies supported by Enterprise Ireland were outside the Dublin region. I want to congratulate all the team at FMS and I look forward to following their progress as they implement their ambitious growth strategy.”
Richard Walsh CEO FMs said, ‘Our substantial investment and expansion reflects our intention to grow their business and provide a high quality and secure manufacturing facility for the production of Dairy based Animal Feed ingredients. Through our dedication to quality and traceability we have become an important resource to both the Infant Formula and Dairy ingredients sector.
I would like to acknowledge the contribution all of our staff have made to our ongoing success. We are very excited to open this facility here in Rathkeale and we are intent on growing FMS into a standard bearer for the Animal Nutrition sector.
We are grateful to Enterprise Ireland for their ongoing support and to Innovate Limerick for helping us realise our ambitions for expansion. I would especially like to than Liam Liddy for his dedication and tenacity in nurturing and growing FMS into the company that it is today.”
