Maud Brennan will be the toast of her native Glantane in the coming days as she represents Sydney in the Rose of Tralee competition, which will see the North Kerry town a hive of activity. Maud has had a hectic few weeks since flying home from Sydney, and early next week she will take the stage for a televised chat with Daithí Ó Sé and a chance to be crowned Rose of Tralee 2022.
Maud emigrated to Melbourne in Australia in 2020 and during the Covid lockdown she worked as a nurse in quarantine hotels before moving to Sydney to work in palliative care. She was overcome with emotion on winning the Sydney Rose competition, and since arriving back in Ireland she has been very busy, attending events all over the country with her fellow Rose contestants.
We would like to wish Maud every success in the coming days, and no matter whether she wins or not, the Glantane Rose is a big hit with her family and many friends!
