Kildimo celebrating lotto win

Speculation continues as to the identity of the owner of the life-changing €5.5 million Lotto jackpot ticket sold in Kildimo.
The ticket was sold at the busy local Mace Store on Wednesday and the winner has been in touch with the National Lottery Headquarters and arrangements are in place for them to collect their prize in Dublin.
The winning numbers were 1, 7, 17, 20, 22, 31 and the bonus number was 35.
“What an incredible night for Limerick players, with a life-changing win,” said National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Ruane.
“We now have a Limerick player who is €5.5 million richer, claiming the title of the 26th National Lottery millionaire so far this year.”
Store owner Carol Mulcair (along with her husband Jim) expressed her joy after receiving the news that her shop sold the winning ticket: “What a lovely phone call to get! I’m absolutely delighted. We’ve had a couple of small wins over the years but nothing of this size! It’s great for the area and will definitely create a buzz around the place.
“The staff are thrilled too. We’re a very rural, local shop with the same people coming in every day, so I hope it’s one of them. Whoever it is, we’re absolutely delighted for them!”
It was the seventh lotto jackpot winning ticket sold in 2024.
