Mallow GAA’s Fergal McCormack has been nominated as Cork minor hurling manager for 2025 and his name will go before the next County Committee meeting on November 5th for approval. On the minor football side, Keith Ricken is the nominee.
Fergal, who won an All Ireland medal with Cork senior hurlers when they defeated Kilkenny in 1999, has given many years of service as a player and coach, not just with Mallow but also with Cork, and his appointment will be greeted with approval, especially in Mallow where he is held in very high esteem.
Cork GAA Chairperson, Pat Horgan said this week that, “We are thrilled to have people of the calibre and experience of Keith and Fergal to take on such challenging, voluntary roles, and we have no doubt that the players involved will benefit hugely from their guidance and instruction.”
