The N73 Mallow to Mitchelstown road has been closed to traffic from the Mallow side for almost all of this year and is set to reopen soon, and Ballygown National School Parents’ Asso-ciation has come up with a wonderful fundraiser for the school. ‘Dash on the N73’ takes place this Sunday at 11am, and the start line is on the N73 at Eircode P51 AW26. The walk/run is just 4km from the start to Ballygown School, which is perfect for a Sunday stroll, or a run if you are feeling energetic. Munster rugby star Donncha O’Callaghan will be at the start line to get everyone warmed up, and he will send runners and walkers on their way. Everyone will get a great welcome at the school with a party atmosphere. There is really only one chance to do this event, so don’t miss it!
There will be access to the event from Oliver’s Cross in Mallow, and parking will be available near the assembly area. Alternatively, there will be parking available on the N73 close to Ballygown School.
