A Mallow man who has set up home and business in Australia has won several national awards for buildings in his adopted country. A Design Director at BOX Design Studio in Sydney, Brian Heavin, who received his secondary education in the Patrician Academy, has been named Australia Designer Renovation of the year at the National of the Trends International Design Awards, National winner for Landscape Design in the Building Designers Association of Australia, State winner in the Master Builders Excellence in Housing and Pool Awards, National Finalist in the Building Designers Association of Australia, National Finalist in the Building Designers Association of Australia, and National Shortlist in the Architecture and Design-Sustainability Awards.
