Regina and Mary-Rose to cycle to the Med in aid of Hospice Foundation

Regina Glynn and Mary Rose Burke have started their training for a 630km cycle from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean in July, to raise much-needed funds for the Irish Hospicae Foundation. This is the fourth gruelling cycle challenge the ladies will undertake, having completed Dublin to Paris, Paris to Geneva, and Geneva to Nice over the Alps. Keep your eyes peeled for the two cyclists on the highways and byways around Mallow and further afield as they put in the miles in the saddle.

This year’s cycle will take place through the Pyrenees and they need your support to make it happen. The purpose of the cycle is to raise funds for the Nurses for Night Care Service, which seeks to provide night-time nurse care for people who are critically ill in their homes. This service is to ensure that people in the final stages of illnesses such as motor neurone disease, chronic kidney failure or advanced respiratory disease can be cared for at home as they wish. Please give generously to enable more nurses look after more people in their final days.
