Frank O’Dwyer, who will represent Ireland in the Floorball event at Special Olympics World Winter Games which commences in Turin on this Saturday, was honoured with a number of special presentations to mark his participation in his home village of Ballylanders on Saturday night last. Frank will be part of a 14 strong Irish team competing in the Special Olympics, which brings together over 1,500 athletes from 103 countries in the major winter sports event.
This ground-breaking event will celebrate the incredible talents determination of people with intellectual disabilities, highlighting the transformative power of inclusion through sport.
The Vale Star wishes Frank and all members of the Irish team the very best of luck in Turin.
