Cadan McCarthy, a member of Mallow Swans Swimming Club, competed in the World School Games in Morrocco last week where he won a silver medal in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley. Cadan and his team-mates Jack McMillan, Mona McSharry and Rebecca Reid also shattered the Irish senior relay record.
Cadan has been a longtime member of Mallow Swans Swimming club, which trains at Mallow Swimming complex, and has amassed a huge haul of medals and accolades in recent years. See page 18 for Cadan’s diary of his trip.
