On Thursday last, 4th December, school assemblies took place at scoil Iosagain. This year’s theme was ‘Follow the Star to Bethlehem’. The junior infants and senior infants pupils delighted all in our school community with their beautiful songs and active display of riding carols to Bethlehem. Parents were delighted to share their Christmas traditions in other lands, much to the delight of our pupils. The beautiful fir tree stood proudly in our corner, beautifully decorated with stars created by our pupils. This fir tree was donated to Scoil Iosagain this year by Co-Op Superstores and we are very grateful for this. A special thank you to Aoife Cannon, senior infant pupil who serenaded our School community with ‘Let it Go’ and ‘Jingle Bells’ on the piano. Mile buiochas, Aoife. We look forward to a wonderful line-up of events for Scoil Iosagain right up to Christmas.
‘Breakfast with the Elves’ draws the delight of our young pupils, and of course each classroom’s Christmas concert is highlight of the school calendar – a memory not to be forgotten. Next week our pupils will be carolling at Donal O’Mahonys Centra, and wait for it, Santa will arrive on a motorbike on Thursday next, 19th December for a visit to our seven mainstream classrooms. This, too, is a highlight on the school calendar.
We wish you and yours a very Happy Christmas and a bright 2015 from all in Scoil Iosagain Infant School.
