A superb few days were had during the European Pitch and Putt Champion-ship at Urduna, Spain. When the Irish team broke victory after 11 years and returned with the winning cup to Dublin airport last Monday night. This very proud team representing Ireland will hold the European title for the coming four years.
Tom Hanley from Bruff, was one of those selected to represent his country with James Cleary, John Ross, John Cahill, Eamon Gilbney and Brian Delaney.
Tom Hanley holed the winning putt.
A great day was celebrated for his team, country and local pitch and putt club in Bruff, as Tom played a sterling part in Ireland’s winning at the European Championship in Spain last weekend.
Tom won every one of his games over the weekend setting a new 36 hole record of -13 in the European Pitch and Putt Championship history.
Tom is having a fantastic year so far and making his name in the world of pitch and putt near and far by winning local, county and world titles.
In April last Tom also celebrated winning the Catalan Open Champion-ship in Spain.
We would like to con-gratulate Tom and his Irish team mates on a fantastic winning for their country and local pitch and putt clubs.
