Cór Mhagh Ealla wins at Limerick Choral Festival

Cor Mhagh Ealla with conductor Susan O’Keeffe in the Redemptorist Church, Limerick, after winning the Community Choir section at the Limerick Choral Festival last weekend.

Congratulations to Cór Mhagh Ealla on winning first prize last Saturday in the Community Choir section of the Limerick Choral Festival. The contest was held in the beautiful Redemptorist church, with six other choirs from all over the country taking part. The standard was very high, so the members of the Mallow choir were delighted and honoured to be chosen as winners. Special thanks go to the conductor Susan O’Keeffe, and accompanists Maura McAuliffe on piano and Tina McAuliffe on the flute. Cór Mhagh Ealla is a very important part of the local community, and enhances many occasions with the high standard of its performances at venues all over town and further afield.
