Visitors to Doneraile Park this weekend will be able to enjoy a glimpse inside Doneraile Court itself, with the opening of the new Tea Rooms. The park attracts over 100,000 visitors a year, and now the people who love strolling through the park’s many paths and walks will be able to call into majestic Doneraile Court for a relaxing cup of tea or coffee.
Mr. Michael O’Sullivan, secretary of the Doneraile Development Association (DDA), said that the opening was the cul-mination of 18 months of hard work by the DDA and local public repre-sentatives, and he invited everyone to call in over the weekend and sample the delicacies available in the Tea Room. He also revealed that next month a farmers’ market will open in the courtyard, so visitors will be able to enjoy a walk, a visit to the farmer’s market and a cuppa, while the younger ones can frolic in the magnificent playground which opened last year.
Two government mini-sters, Brian Hayes and Seán Sherlock, will attend the official open-ing of the Tea Rooms on 17th September.
