Local TDs take their place in new Dáil

Best wishes to Eoghan Kenny, Ken O’Flynn and John Paul O’Shea who attended Dáil Éireann yesterday in their capacity as newly-elected TDs. Family and friends attended Dáil Éireann for the special day in the lives of the three former councillors who have now ascended to the rank of TD. Eoghan and Ken were successful in Cork North Central in the recent General Election, while John Paul O’Shea won through in Cork North West.
Following the election of all three to the Dáil, Ken O’Flynn’s father Noel has been co-opted to replace him on Cork City Council, while Ronan Sheehan, a former Co. Councillor, will return to the Council Chamber this Friday as a replacement for Eoghan Kenny, and Aileen Browne from Charleville will be co-opted to take John Paul O’Shea’s seat.
