Mallow ITA Taekwondo Club Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Mallow ITA Taekwondo Club celebrated its 20th Anniversary recently in Woodview Drive Community Centre. In its 20 years of existence the Mallow ITA club has produced many world  and European medallists and is one of the strongest in Ireland. Members of the club wanted to recognise the hard work and commitment which Mark Buckley (6th Degree Black Belt) has given to the club over the 20 years. The day started off with fun and games for the younger students with bouncy castles, face painting and Taekwondo  games supervised by the dedicated senior members of the club. Then Philip McAuliffe spoke fondly about how much work and dedication Mark puts into the ITA (Irish Taekwondo Association) and all his clubs and how Mallow  ITA Club was like a family to him. Mark’s good friend and fellow instructor Adrian O’Mahoney, who travelled from Tralee, presented Mark with a token to mark the occasion. Afterwards there was plenty tea/coffee and refreshments provided by the club’s parents’ association. Fellow instructors and members of the ITA from across the country travelled to celebrate with Mark on this special occasion. We wish to thank all who helped make it such a success and we would like to wish Mark many successful years to come.
