Legendary Mallow photographer Gerard O’Meara, who this year is celebrating 60 years of photographing Mallow people and places, will be the recipient of a special tribute from Cork County Council on Saturday, 13th July, in Mallow Library. Gerard will celebrate his 80th birthday on the day before the tribute event, and he is also busy at present, compiling a selection of photographs to be put on the Cork County Council Photographic Archive.
