Congratulations to St. Mary’s, Charleville, who were crowned Munster camogie champions last Saturday in Templederry, Co. Tipperary, after they defeated St. Mary’s Nenagh by 0-9 to 0-6. The juniors set off for Templederry last Saturday morning, focused and determined to bring home the Munster title. Battling through tough ground conditions and a swirling wind, the girls displayed remarkable character, pride, and unwavering spirit throughout the match, and the low scoreline is a testament to how hard-fought and evenly matched the game was. As the final whistle sounded, it was St. Mary’s Charleville who emerged victorious, and captain Cara Hickey proudly accepted the cup on behalf of the team.
With the Munster title in the bag, all eyes now turn to the All-Ireland semi-final against the Leinster champions, Banagher College, Co. Offaly, with the date and venue to be confirmed. See inside for a report on the great St Mary’s win.
