Buttevant Heritage Group recently designed and arranged to erect street names in the town. These were handcrafted by local sculptor/mason, Sean Collins. The Group is indebted to Seán for these wonderfully crafted lime- stone accessories, completed by Seán and donated to Buttevant. The Heritage Group was happy to employ Arthur Sheehan to put them in place, job well done. Appropriate street names for Buttevant have been on the programme of the group for some time. They wish to thank Seán Collins for his help in fulfilling this part of the plan and for his generosity to the town. These are a welcome addition to the streetscape of Buttevant and will be a source of pride for the community and for generations to come. They are a distinctive stamp on the medieval walled town and a credit to Sean Collins’s top class craftsmanship.
