Several key persons from across County Limerick are included on the Mayoral Advisory and Implementation Committee, from which three implementation subcommittees will be formed within the coming weeks.
These subcommittees will focus on the rigorous monitoring and delivery of the Mayoral Programme across three key strands:
A More Liveable Limerick: enhancing affordable housing and improving the quality of life.
A More Prosperous Limerick: creating more job opportunities for graduates and others.
A More Healthy Limerick: prioritising wellbeing and health initiatives.
The main committee, which meets quarterly, is dedicated to reviewing progress and ensuring the effective delivery of the programme’s goals.
“This marks a significant step forward in our efforts to drive sustainable and inclusive growth right across Limerick. This innovative statutory committee allows strategic discussion involving the Executive, elected councillors and repres-entatives of civil society. By harnessing the expertise and dedication of our committee members, I aim to create a more liveable, prosperous, and healthy Limerick with transparent and effective delivery at its core,” commented Mayor John Moran.
